About Us
Most of us are familiar with Paul’s admonition to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2:
“Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing
to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision.”
The
Bible is the truth-source of the church. Many men and women within the church
desire a deeper understanding of the Word of God, yet are unable (for any of a
number of reasons) to attend seminary or Bible College. Even with the
availability of online courses, time and economic considerations can provide
barriers difficult to overcome.
Not everyone can afford to pack up and go to Bible College or to seminary for their training and education, or devote time and energy to an in-depth online course of study. In fact, many people don't need that level of training to serve God in the local church or on the mission field. Something in between would be ideal for them. That is where Vancouver Bible Institute comes in.
Many churches and other ministries have neither the time nor the resources to further the Biblical education and training of their staff or ministry volunteers to the level or to the degree that they would like.
We are not a substitute for the local church!
We are here simply to supplement the local church as it seeks to train, equip, and mobilize its members. Our goal is to come alongside and strengthen the hands of those already engaged in the work of making disciples and equipping the saints.

To help pastors and their churches "equip the saints for service" through quality Bible education, and to glorify God in the process.

Vancouver Bible Institute exists to educate, equip, and encourage those who wish to pursue a deeper knowledge of God and His Word, to deepen their relationship with Him, and to be better equipped to serve Him by serving others.
We accomplish this by providing relevant and comprehensive Biblical studies to anyone who desires to enhance their journey toward Christian maturity through affordable, practical Biblical education and training.
